| GENARAL CHARACTERISTICS |
Electrode with special core wire for particularly ductile and crack resistant repair welding on grey and spheroidal cast iron. XL – C30 is very suitable for joining on all malleable types of cast iron. The electrode has excellent welding properties and produces smooth seams without transverse undercuts. The special bimetallic core wire increases the current-carrying as well as deposit efficiency. In spite of the high elongation the weld deposit is crack resistant. Weldment is also having excellent machining properties. |

| GENARAL CHARACTERISTICS |
Specially coated electrode based on copper-nickel for machinable cast iron cold welding, for joint & repair welds on damaged grey iron castings and malleable cast iron components. The particular kind of coating permits the employment of low currents so that the component is only subjected to little heat. In this way the chilling effect in the transition zones is reduced so that these can still be adequately machined. The electrode has excellent welding properties and produces pore free and tight seams. Little spattering and easy slag removal. |

|
| GENARAL CHARACTERISTICS |
XL-18 is easily weld able and gives good slag removal. Recovery is 160%. The weld metal is work-hardening, largely resistant to rust and corrosion and resists scaling up to 1560*F. |
|
| REPAIR OF |
XL-18 suited for particularly tough, crack-and wear resistant joint and surfacing on steels higher tensile strength like St.60, St.70 and hard-manganese steel, as well as for joining high alloy steles with low-alloy and non-alloy materials. Such applications occur primarily on construction machinery and equipment. XL-18 is strongly recommended for elastic inter-passes under hard facings exposed to impact loads. |
